HBPB AFFILIATED CLUBS RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

Code of Conduct - Responsibilities:

  • To affiliate as an affiliated club in accordance with the constitution of Hawke's Bay Poverty Bay Swimming.

  • To comply with the Swimming New Zealand Constitution.

  • To comply with the Code of Conduct of Hawke's Bay Poverty Bay Swimming in relation to swimming activities.

  • Comply with all constitutional requirements, regulations and responsibilities imposed by Hawke's Bay Poverty Bay Swimming as a condition of affiliation.

  • Promote and encourage maximum club participation in the Hawke's Bay Poverty Bay Championships, regional and zone competitions, and all other relevant events organised by Hawke's Bay Poverty Bay Swimming, and sub committees of Hawke's Bay Poverty Bay Swimming.

  • Participate in club relays at regional meets and regional relays at National meets.

  • Contribute and be up to date with Hawke's Bay Poverty Bay Swimming’s website and methods of communication.

  • Promote Hawke's Bay Poverty Bay Swimming’s partners.

  • Support any award ceremonies held by Hawke's Bay Poverty Bay Swimming, any development programs, and any future Hawke's Bay Poverty Bay Swimming initiatives that may be promoted to Clubs from time to time.

  • Maintain up to date records and promote the training of technical officials.

  • Clubs will provide the correct ratio of officials and volunteers to competitors entered at swim meets within the region.

  • Ensure that accurate data regarding swimmer numbers is delivered to Hawke's Bay Poverty Bay Swimming.

  • Ensure that financial obligations to Swimming New Zealand and Hawke's Bay Poverty Bay Swimming are met.

  • Provide opportunities for club coaches and officials to attend Swimming New Zealand, Central Swimming, and Hawke's Bay Poverty Bay Swimming training courses.

  • Attend the Hawke's Bay Poverty Bay AGM, Club Forums and Special meetings as requested by Hawke's Bay Poverty Bay Swimming.

  • Be involved, and attend as required, Central Swimming forums and swimming activities.

Should the club fail to abide by the Code of Code Responsibilities, then the Club and its membership accepts possible ineligibility for Hawke's Bay Poverty Bay Swimming, affiliated member benefits. Continued breaches may result in the termination of affiliated club membership.

Decisions regarding Code of Conduct non-compliance and resulting penalties shall be at the sole discretion of the Management Committee of Hawke's Bay Poverty Bay Swimming or its nominated subcommittee.
